When the news of 2012 Monster from SEIKO breaks out last year...
...it raised a lot of attention. The first one that caught my attention,
is the one with PVD case and bracelet, chinese salted egg dialed,
SRP311.
I don't have much deep depth diver watches from SEIKO in my collection,
except for the techie SOLAR diver. So i was quite hesitant to get a
MONSTER in to my SEIKO troops, until few hours ago... I went for the
toughest catch, which to lots of MONSTER fans, a champion catch like red
groupa in local water.
SRP313, BLOODY FANGS MONSTER
Just a glance on the new MONSTER's indexes, it seems that the MONSTER
had just finished a meal of raw beef. And because of such impression, in
addition to the regular features of what any other dive watches should
have, such as thick and large case, rotational bezel, screw in crown,
makes this model more scary to folks, and draws a little urge to others,
wanting to control over this hideous freak. That's why whenever a batch
of different 2012 MONSTERs arrived, the RED fangs will always be the
one to sell off faster than the others.

The hackable 4R36 21kbph movement, underneath the back case.
Looking back at my SEIKO watches collection, this MONSTER is the first
mechanical deep depth watch added in. Long time ago, i would have wanted
to get the whole series of the FRANKEN-MONSTER due to the large, fat
and ugly design. I was too late then when i re-enter the SEIKO world,
where the market then was left with little stocks of the release due to
End Of Life production. This time round, with the use of 4R36 hackable
mechanical movement, i'm not going to give this series a miss!

Without further ado, more pictures on suggestible straps to match the dial of this MONSTER!

My Dad used to be a watchsmith- and I grew up watching him taking watches apart for servicing and repair works, before re-assembling all the tiny parts into fully-working items of marvel again. It's no surprise then that I was intrique into the world of watches since a young age. P/S : This is a watch site from an enthusiast to fellow enthusiasts, so you won't be bothered by adverts here. Just pure watch-reading fun, if you're into this. Enjoy the ride...
Fantastic!
