Baselworld 2015 : Pelagos Reloaded

Blue and black...

Or black and blue...

Tudor MT5612 in Pelagos 2.0

Tudor-modied ETA2824-2 in Pelagos 1.0

So, here it is, folks! Tudor has taken one of its best watches today, the Pelagos; and reloaded it with new features to awe all and sundry at Baselworld 2015.

Like :
1) In-house COSC movement;
2) Additional blue colour choice;
3) Price remained virtually the same (previous RRP : RM15,150, new RRP : RM16,150).

Dislike :
1) Text on dial is too crowded (from 2-liner to 5-liner);
2) Prefer mini-marker at 3 o'clock for the symmetrical look.

Given that the Tudor-modified ETA2824-2 had excellent time-keeping, better-decorated, and I prefer the dial from the 1st generation, I would not be trading in the 1st generation for the 2nd generation. But for new buyers of Pelagos, it should be a no-brainer to start queueing up at Tudor ADs.

Either way, you can't go much wrong with Pelagos 1.0 or Pelagos 2.0! Great watches for today, and a classic for years to come.
