RRP as per Citizen Hong Kong official site amounted to app RM3,515, while RRP for Suppa including international courier amounted to circa RM392.
This was how PDM looked like with its original rubber strap.
The Suppa adapter utilised the pin-and-collar system, which was no biggie if you wanted to take it off vide your means. Just be sure to have steady hands as you wouldn't want to have the collar flying off into the unknown while you were knocking the pin out.
The pin-and-collar was a proven system and it should take just a couple of minutes to get the original Citizen rubber strap off.
The adapters slotted in precisely and I must said that it was a very good fit. The adapter was machined well and the quality inspiring. I always have confidence in the good works from Suppa, since they started making adapters for Citizen EcoZilla years back.
I would like to fit a pair of 22mm Isofrane Orange to make a bold statement on this PDM. Pending its arrival, I decided to make do with a pair of Tudor Nato previously used on my Tudor Pelagos. The good thing about the Tudor Nato was that the lug pin goes into a slot in the strap itself, so that it would not slide around and would hold the watch properly.
PDM being a pretty large watch, needed to be secured properly to avoid it sliding all over one's wrist.
I think that PDM looks good being paired with the Suppa adapters and Tudor Nato. Heck, it could have passed off as manufacturer-issued in its own right!
And here was a shot of the lume warriors! Basel world 2015 was on-going now, and it was kind of deja vu to have representatives from Baselworld 2012 (right piece) and Baselworld 2014 (left piece) in the shot.
(NB : Pelagos was re-launched during Baselworld 2015 with an added blue dial and bezel option. Nice!)
Let's all wear our watches in good health!
