2012 Seiko Monster 42mm (Model nos. SRP307K1, SRP309K1, SRP311K1, SRP313K1, and SRP315K1)

I'm a fan of the original Seiko Orange Monster and when the new 2012 models were said to be ready by Q4 2012, I was waiting for them to hit the stores. For 2012, there were 5 models to choose from as per the following :

Well, by and large, the models are quite widely available at the watch shops these days and a quick survey showed that the best-selling models were SRP313K1 (also referred as "Dracula fangs") and SRP311K1 (also referred as "Sunburst").

I've always liked the orange colour, which meant that SRP709K1, SRP311K1 and SRP315K1 were all appealing enough to me. However, I have a plan to match the Nato racing strap used for the Tudor Ducati Fastrider Chronograph watch, on the Seiko Dracula Monster. I believe that the Ducati race stripes would complement the red-lined fangs of the Dracula very nicely.

Well, keep yours eyes peeled on the final results on this blog hereafter.

The Suggested Retail Prices for the 2012 Seiko Monster series in Malaysia are as per the following :

SRP307 - RM1190
SRP309 - RM1190
SRP311 - RM1480
SRP313 - RM1055
SRP315 - RM1175

These are the prices as sold by ADs in Malaysia, with a full one-year warranty by Thong Sia, the official distributor for Seiko in Malaysia. One can be sure to get much lower prices from non-ADs selling the 2012 Seiko Monster series as advertised over the net; but for the local warranty to be valid, Thong Sia would only recognise warranty cards with the Malaysia country code no. 544S1.

These are some shots that I Googled online with regards to the old and new Monsters.
