Readers might recalled that I flipped a couple of Rolex Submariner back in June, and one of the pieces were sold to a Doc based in East Malaysia @ https://andywristwatches.blogspot.com/2018/06/wts-2018-rolex-submariner-date-116610ln_26.html. Well, the good Doc had paid the full sum of the watch and we had made a few appointments to meet up, but his tight rounds meant that he had had to take rain cheques a couple of times.
Well, 4 months after we concluded the deal, he's finally found time to make a day trip to fly to KL to pick up the Submariner. During the wait, the grey reseller's prices on this piece had appreciated by RM1k per month; and we have seen similar watches like his in brand new condition being flipped at RM42k. Wow!
During the pick-up, he saw the Tudor GMT Pepsi on my wrist from the review entry @ https://andywristwatches.blogspot.com/2018/10/review-of-tudor-black-bay-gmt-15-months.html, and asked if I had any new pieces on hand. And it was his lucky day indeed as I retrieved a piece from my safe and he was happy as bird.
And to cap off the trip, he was also interested in a similar Omega Speedy Pro that I flipped in March @ https://andywristwatches.blogspot.com/2018/03/wts-bnib-omega-speedmaster-moonwatch.html, and transformed into an astronaut in the process.
Just imagine- 1 weekend, 2 flights, and 3 new watches from Rolex, Tudor, and Omega! 4 days away Halloween might be, but I dare say that the good Doc had gotten his Halloween candies in advance. I could well picture that he'd be too happy to sleep tonight as he plays around with his new acquisition of choice pieces.
That's a lucky man! The Sub and GMT are rare here in S'pore! Lots of premium to be paid here.
