Arrived : Seiko Turtle Blue Lagoon LE

This is my 7th Seiko Turtle since I went on Turtle-mania mode, so I would skip the unboxing and go straight to the actual Turtle Blue Lagoon. Box-wise, it was packed like that of the Turtle Emerald LE, with bracelet and rubber strap together.

Between the Emerald LE and Blue Lagoon LE, the Emerald was limited to 3,500 pieces worldwide while the Blue Lagoon LE was limited to 6,000 pieces worldwide. However, while the caseback of the Emerald LE documents the no. of that particular piece, the Blue Lagoon LE had the normal serial no. arrangements like that of the other non-LE Turtles. In comparison, I have had 2 Turtle PADI SE and their serial nos. were similar in this random manner too.

This makes the Emerald LE just that touch more special, given the limited edition no. Both LE watches go for the same price i.e. RM2,660.60 each, although finding a piece in the ADs could be a tall order given that collectors were going crazy over these LE pieces.

In terms of looks, placed next to the PADI SE, Blue J1, and Pepsi K1 that I had, then it was obvious that the Blue Lagoon LE's rich royal blue dial wins hands-down over the other blue dials in the Seiko Turtle series. The sunburst was simply spectacular and mesmerising.

Look at the picture of the Blue Lagoon LE and Emerald LE placed next to each other in the winder, and you could see why collectors were going head over heels paying a premium to secure both these pieces.

Definitely keepers, both these pieces. Excuse me while I go get lost mesmerised by that rich royal blue dial again.
