My favorite wear these days, whether as office wear, or during bike rides, or bringing the kids to the parks; was the 2012-launched Tudor Pelagos made from the premium Titanium Grade 5. Interestingly, from the list, you could see that the 1999-launched Tag Heuer Kirium Ti5 was made from the same material.

I began consolidating my collection in Christmas 2014 so that I could maintain a more wearable collection instead of buying more watch winders. Ultimately, I hope to maintain circa 6 mechanical pieces and 4 battery-assisted pieces i.e. altogether 10 pieces, which would be more manageable. I am proud to say that I am getting there.

Going forward, I would like to add either a pre-owned Submariner Hulk LV or Classic LN that another collector had indicated that he was ready to let go, or a new GMT-Master II that was rather suitable with my traveling lifestyle.

So many watches, so little resources. Oh well, c'est la vie...

  1. What are the 6 mechanical pieces and 4 quartz pieces that you have in mind?

    1. For the interim period, I am thinking of Mechanical pieces from Rolex, Tudor, Omega, and Seiko. Quartz (including hybrid like Kinetic and Eco-Drive) pieces from Casio, Citizen, Seiko, and Tag Heuer.

  2. Can I suggest a Submariner and Panerai to add to your collection? You have a great diverse collection and I really enjoy reading your blog.
