A few readers asked for pictures of my Turtle Emerald LE, which had been rather elusive on the blog. Okay then, you ask, so you shall reap.
The Emerald LE has a very nice dial, and it's emerald sunburst dial changed colours quite prominently depending on the way the light bounced off its surface. This limited edition series was limited to 3,500 pieces worldwide, and mine was a Seiko Malaysia AD set wearing the no. 2180/3500. A pretty nice no, if I do say so myself.
While the rest of the Turtles had been on Iso straps, I had ordered a thick Panerai-style leather strap, in green no less, prior to the arrival of the Emerald LE. The leather strap was to be handmade and sent from overseas, and it was still on transit. That was the reason that the Emerald LE had not seen much wrist times, as it's strap was not here yet. So anyway, after weeks of waiting, I decided to size the bracelet and started wearing the Emerald LE.
As you could gauge from above, the emerald green dial changes colour pretty prominently at different light levels. It's a pretty versatile piece, and worth a spot in one's collection.
How do you always get the good stuff? Even you limited edition number is very ong!
