Community Service #3/2018 : Rolex Daytona Serial No. N4169336

After publishing the Community Service threads to track stolen watches @ https://andywristwatches.blogspot.my/2018/01/community-service-rolex-yacht-master.html and https://andywristwatches.blogspot.my/2018/01/community-service-patek-philippe-annual.html, some parties had been referring adverts of similar watch models to my side; and with the on-going tracking, let's hope that the owner i.e. MIF gets reunited with his watches soon.

Another owner i.e. DL had got in touch with me last night that his above watch had been stolen too. At this point, I am still waiting for further details of the matter; afterwhich I would update in this thread so that fellow watch collectors could look out for the said watch too.

Updates :
DL met up with a lady buyer i.e. Inez Lau Yin Ling whom made an online transfer to his account.  More information about her surfaced after this post and could be read @ https://andywristwatches.blogspot.my/2018/01/community-service-cartier-tank-anglaise.html.

However, it was a fake transaction and his mistake was that he had not check the balance in his account pursuant to the transfer. He handed over the Daytona, pre-owned but in full boxed set, to the lady buyer and she had been avoiding his calls thereafter. He had furnished me copies of the police report and pictures of the scammer. The warranty card was believed to be dated from Feb 2017. I would opine that the scammer would try to off-load the said watch to pre-owned shops as they tend to take such highly-demanded stock quickly but in lower prices. So if you frequent pre-owned watch shops in Times Square and the likes, do share the word around so that the personnel there could be aware of this lost watch too in case it comes their way.

With the RRP : USD12,400 / RM49,048 and being in short supply worldwide, do keep an eye out for a Daytona Ceramic White Dial with the above serial no, likely to be on the cheap in the secondary market.

The above Daytona was scammed back-to-back alongside an IWC Aquatimer as per the following. Same scammer, same modus operandi.
