Tonight's entry is about the PAM448 but to get to this piece, we have to retract back to a few earlier entries in this blog. How so, you would ask. Well, I recently placed a couple of watches in my collection towards flipping as per the following :
1) Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Chrono (3+ years warranty left) @ https://andywristwatches.blogspot.my/2017/12/wts-omega-seamaster-planet-ocean.html;
2) Omega Speedmaster Chrono (6 months warranty left) @ https://andywristwatches.blogspot.my/2018/01/wts-omega-speedmaster-panda-under.html;
3) Ball Engineer ii Genesis 125th Anniversary LE (1+ year warranty left) @ https://andywristwatches.blogspot.my/2017/12/wts-ball-engineer-ii-genesis-125th.html.
A reader wrote to me if I was interested to exchange the above 3 watches with a PAM448 in his collection, that was apparently in mint condition. He purchased the watch in 2013 and it was mainly kept in the box and only brought out to be admired and hand-wound, before putting it back into the box again. The original leather strap was apparently unworn.
I have always admired the California dial, and the Maranez Rawai that I purchased back in 2015 was sporting such a dial too. But of course, that was from a micro-brand and the Panerai's should be even more awe-inspiring, I should think. Let's sleep over this then.
