What a year it has been! And it's time to keep stock of 'em watches that had remained for the fireworks that would be forthcoming during Christmas and New Year.

The usual suspects

NB : These were the investment-friendly pieces. The value tends to appreciate and demand tends to build up over time. Minimal risk in holding these pieces.

NB : These were the ones that one owned purely for one's own pleasure. Because only selective collectors would appreciate them in the flip market. Value retention- what's that?

NB : There were the ones that you have fun buying different straps to match for different occasions; and while you carefully ponder which PAM to wear for different engagements, the casual collector would nonetheless thought that it was still one and the same watch. Tends to appreciate like 1MDB units (if they were still there to begin with).

NB : My modified pieces. These were suited to my taste buds and fun to tinker with. Tend to be a money pit- what with the cost of quality parts, workmanship, etc.

So far, I have been keeping the collection manageable. There had been lots of pieces coming in and out of the collection throughout the year, but I have managed to cap the pieces to 30 pieces thus far. True, they sometimes build up quickly but I would thereafter flip some other off so that I could keep to the self-imposed discipline. Notable pieces that were flipped this year and would be missed somewhat included Daytona Ceramic, Daytona Classic, Speedy Pulsometer, Speedy Panda, and the likes.
